Stance and PLAY – The Innovation Process

Way back in 2016 I got a phone call from the awesome team over at Stance socks. They asked if I would be interested in a project with their innovation team. Innovation is very important at Stance and they pride themselves on having some of the best sock technology in the game. This is a priority for their business considering they are the official sock of the NBA and they sponsor some of the greatest athletes in the world.

My task for the project was pretty straightforward, come up with a logo for the newly branded innovation team, named “PLAY,” and design an infographic that represents the
innovation process. I worked with one of the founders of Stance, the VP of Innovation, and the lead of product development.

Below you will find some of the concepts for the logo and the final infographic which was presented to the company. The objective of the infographic was to make it look like a board game. It has been 1 year since I worked on the project and the process has been refined and the logo ended up changing but it was cool to work with such an awesome team.
