It was surreal to watch the PKWY brand come to life last weekend. I’ve been working on this project for over a year and it started with the branding, visual identity, and logo design. After working on the brand, we started to collaborate on the product (socks) and the official launch here in Miami. In preparation, I created some illustrations for the Dwyane Wade socks and a limited-edition, 6-color, screen printed poster. I was also able to round up some friends to paint murals inside the warehouse of the launch party. Danielle Estefan, Mike Estefan, and Brian Butler came by and completely crushed the walls. I also painted a quick mural for the celebration.
The brand launch exceeded my expectations. Wade showed up in the socks I designed and started signing the posters we printed. The day went by crazy fast and I wish I had more time to chat with people and play 1-on-1 with Wade. Huge thanks to everyone who showed up.
